Visit to SUNY Upstate for Swetha Velivela's PhD Defense

Dr. O'Donnell had a great time visiting SUNY Upstate in December of 2018, where she gave a talk on our research and served as the external examiner for Swetha Velivela's thesis defense. Congratulations to the new Dr. Velivela's. It was fun to meet with Dr. Patty Kane, whose work has provided critical insights into how the vacuole maintains its acidic pH by studying the structure and function of the vacuolar V-ATP-ase. Though Ally missed our Departmental holiday party, she did get to attend the SUNY Upstate Biochemistry and Molecular Biology holiday party, which was terrific! Yummy Thai food :)
